Bank Holiday Fun in East Yorkshire

Bank Holiday Weekends.....
You either think that they are three fantastic days off or nightmare with an extra day to entertain the kids. If you are the latter then this Bank Holiday is also the start of the May Half term!

This weekend why not visit the Wetwang Scarecrow Festival which never disapppoints with some amazing scarecrows. But best still are the really reasonably priced tea and cakes in the village hall. Hmmm Yummy.

If you're up early on Sunday, why not see if you can pick up a bargain at North Cave car boot sale.

Sunday also marks Giant Bradley Day in Market Weighton, a celebration of the life of William Bradley, born in 1787 who, at 7ft 9ins is Britain's tallest ever man. There is varied live music, a traditional Punch and Judy, clowns and numerous other activities on throughout the day.

A Bank Holiday weekend isn't the same without a trip to the seaside. Instead of the usual trip to Bridlington, how about Withernsea and on the way pop into Fort Paull and see the Home Front Weekend which is taking a look at the Blitz and the role of the Land Girls in the war.
