Ploughing Match- Hotham Carrs

Sunday 25th Sep at Hotham Carrs there is a ploughing match. Having never been to a ploughing match I have no idea what to expect, but with stalls and refreshments and it supporting a good local cause, it should be worth a visit.
So grab your wellies and come out to a ploughing match tomorrow!!

Fancy something else. The Hands on History Musuem in Hull is well worth a visit. It has a victorian school room where you can dress up, play with old toys and even do a puppet show. Upstairs there is more of the history of Hull and children in Hull but also a section on Egypt and mummies. For a great place to spend an hour (for free) then it is well worth a visit.

UPDATE - just back from the ploughing match. I can honestly say I have never seen anything like it. I now know more than before and probably more than I ever wanted to know about ploughing. But it was actually a pleasant morning.  The kids could run about and an excuse to go for a stroll around a field and eat some yummy cakes and support North Cave Church roof appeal. It's on till 5 so you can sill enjoy the fun!!
